Downing Legal is a commercial law firm established by Phil Downing.

Phil trained as an accountant initially but then qualified as a solicitor in 1997 at Eversheds in Leeds where he gained extensive experience in their corporate department.

Phil went on to become a partner in three company commercial departments of commercial law firms in Leeds and, seeing a gap in the market for accessible commercial legal advice for owner managed businesses and small and medium sized enterprises, set up Downing Legal in 2011.

Downing Legal can provide expert commercial legal advice at a sensible cost. Wherever possible we’ll provide you with a quote (not an estimate) so that you are never faced with any nasty surprises.

In addition, your work will always be carried out by Phil himself rather than being delegated to junior assistants.
